The latest version of the Spring Framework, version 2.5, has just been released. The good news is that it’s pretty much a drop-in replacement for previous versions of Spring, so you can upgrade your existing applications without changing anything!

There are a few new features though, including more support for annotations, scanning the classpath for Spring components and plenty more. There’s an article up about it on infoq – the first in a series of articles on Spring 2.5 (as of the time of writing part two has not been published)
